What great thing has a book done for you?
I remember the first time I read The Hunt For Red October. I was fascinated. I discovered this fascination with submarines. I went and bought books about nuclear subs, WW2 subs – stories of some of the famous submarines and their battles. I do not know what is was. But the suspense and subs themselves – I loved it. And still do. I also fell in love with Harry Potter and as a child – I love Nancy Drew and Agatha Christie!!
Those great books are likely to produce strong emotions. 🙂
Books have made me cry, laugh, smile, frown, and set off on joining the ranks of authordom. I get a lot of great emotions and ideas from books.
Yep, books enlisted me, too. 🙂 Can books be a man’s best friend?
They are certainly this woman’s. 🙂
“Outside of a dog, a book is a man’s best friend. Inside of a dog it’s too dark to read.” – Groucho Marx
Now I remember reading that quote recently (and wondering how I forgot so quickly, especially since it’s a great one). I don’t think I’ll try that latter part. 🙂
Yeah. Dogs get angry if you try.
One book hasn’t, but thousands completely have~
“Have Books Ever Made You…” Maybe I should have taken that angle. 🙂
Books tend to do all of these things for me…..so yes.
Three cheers for good books. 🙂
I admit…. I read constantly, and believe each is an adventure, like living multiple lives… 😀
It is. Hope you don’t mind if I borrow your idea for a future post… 🙂
Its the same thing for me too! I have been to many different places in different times. Sometimes a book brings me to a different world and I love all the characters, even the villans.
Sometimes the villains are the best characters. Scary thought, perhaps… 🙂
Yes2….sometimes the villains gives a bigger impression than de heroes.
